Construction & demolition debrisThe title for this area of the transfer station is a little misleading. It is where you would deposit sheetrock, pressure treated wood, & insulation. But it is also where you would place some furniture, clothing, and other items which are accepted at the transfer station, but which don't seem to fit any of the other categories. Some items deposited in this dumpster do have associated additional fees, including: - White goods such as bathtubs - $ 10
- Furniture which isn't 50% or more metal - $ 2
Depending on how these items are transported, additional fees may be associated. If these items are transported on a trailer, fees are as follows: - Small utility trailer (less than 2 cy) - $ 10
- Large utility trailer (from 2 cy to 6 cy) - $ 35
- Large utility trailer (over 6 cy) - $ 75
Fees should be paid at the attendant's shack upon entry to the transfer station. No liquids are accepted. If you have transported your items in a cardboard box, please empty those items into the dumpster & then deposit the cardboard box into the cardboard recycling dumpster. Shingles are NOT accepted. You may take these to the Waste Management transfer station on Dirigo Drive in Brewer or to the Casella transfer station in Hampden. |
