Milford Fire/Rescue Apparatus

Milford Engine 801

Engine 801- 1992 Chevrolet/Central States pumper.  1000 gpm pump, 1000 gallon water tank.  First due Engine for structural fires, motor vehicle accidents and utility problems.  This truck carries a Thermal Imaging Camera, Hydraulic Extrication Tool (jaws of life), 4 Scott SCBA's, Preconnected handlines, 1000' 4" supply hose, handtools, generator, ventilation saw, 4-gas meter, fan, BLS EMS gear.

Milford Engine 802

Engine 802- 1999 International/Metalfab Tanker/Pumper.  1250 gpm pump, 2500 gallon water tank.  Second due Engine/Tanker for structural fires.  First due Engine for mutual aid calls.  This truck carries a Thermal Imaging Camera, 6 Scott SCBA's, Preconnected handlines, 1000' 4" supply hose, handtools, generator, chainsaw, fan, portable 500 gpm pump, ice auger, 3100 gallon porta-tank, BLS EMS gear.

Milford Rescue 808

Rescue 808- 2005 Ford F-350 4x4.  First Response EMS vehicle.  Second due truck for motor vehicle accidents, utility problems.  This truck transports manpower for all calls.  This truck carries basic and advanced life support emergency medical supplies.  In addition, this truck carries 2 Scott SCBA's, spare air bottles, stokes basket, cold water rescue suits and tech rescue rigging, generator, handtools and gas meter.  This truck tows our snowmobile rescue trailer, boat, and trailer mounted pump and tank unit.

Milford Brush 806

Brush 806- 1970 2 1/2 ton Military truck.  Six wheel drive wildland and grass fire response vehicle.  This truck is on loan through FEPP (federal excess property program).  High pressure pump and 600 gallon water tank w/ Class A foam system.  Equipment carried on this truck includes 2 portable pumps, hose packs with over 1600' of forestry hose and nozzles, assorted wildland hand tools, chainsaw and drinking water and meals for hand crew.

Utility 807- 2003 Ford F-150 4x4.  This truck was obtained at a low cost from State of Maine Surplus.  Personnel use this truck for inspections, fire prevention activities, travel to training and incidents.  This truck can also tow our snowmobile rescue unit, boat and trailer mounted pump and tank unit.

Snowmobile Rescue Unit- Thule enclosed trailer, 1998 Skidoo Grand Touring Snowmobile and Rescue Toboggan.  The toboggan was purchased by the Pine Tree Snowmobile club in Milford.  The trailer, sled and gear was purchased using grant funds.  The toboggan is outfitted with EMS supplies and wilderness gear.  The trailer is outfitted with maps, winter clothing and helmets.  The enclosed trailer is insulated and heated and can be used during prolonged winter incidents for command and rehab.

Boat- 16 foot aluminum boat with 15 hp Evinrude outboard.  This boat can be towed by Rescue 808 or Utility 807.  Boat is used for access to wildland fires on the many streams and bogs in Milford as well as assisting with rescues on the Penobscot River.

Trailer mounted tank and pump unit-  175 gallon water tank with Hale 250 pump.  This unit augments our wildland and grass fire responses.  Can be used for mop up during wildland fires and can be towed by off road equipment for access to remote areas.
